Great Gatsby Characters

So far in the Great Gatsby, I feel as though the characters are extremely defined and stereotypical. The narrator Nick is portrayed as a normal guy who has his faults but ultimately tries to make the right decisions. Tom on the other hand is a cold, rich man who doesn't care much about others or even his wife. The female characters have been portrayed as gossipers and a little ignorant. For example, Mrs. Wilson is this arrogant, prideful woman who is not really sure as to why she married her husband in the first place. While on the other hand Daisy is a woman who puts on a show for her guests and says what they want to hear, when she isn't happy in her marriage either. These characters are very simple at the moment and seem to be very stereotypical.
